Auto Retry Failed Payments

There is an option in Rerun to automatically retry failed payments.

It is located under the "Settings" tab, the "General" sub-tab, and then under the "Notifications" section.

To turn this option on, check the box next to "Automatically rerun failed payments _ days after failure for a maximum of _ times."

You would fill in the blanks with the # of days and the # of times you wish Rerun to retry the failed payment.

As an example: If I enter 2 for the days and 2 for the #of times, then the following will happen.

2 days after the payment fails, Rerun will try to process the transaction again. If it processes successfully, normal notices (if set up) are sent. If it fails, no additional email or notice is sent out.

Following the 1st retry failure, in another 2 days Rerun will try for the 2nd time to process the transaction. Again, If it processes successfully, normal notices (if set up) are sent. If it fails, no additional email or notice is sent out.

If the payment still fails, then you would have to handle the case manually. Send the customer an email to update their payment info, or call them and they can provide the new payment info to you and you enter it for them. Then you can retry the payment manually in Rerun.
